SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a means to ensure that your site will figure in the top search fallout yielded by a search engine. Web optimization can be on-page, which involves optimizing the subject matter on your website pageor off-page, which can be achieved by excellence link building.

Although the exact proportion of Do Follow and No Follow blogs is anybody's guess, in my experience the numbers of No Follow blogs vastly outnumber the Do Follow blogs. Almost all the top blogs for high competition keywords are No follow. But there are good numbers of blogs especially in niches related to technology health and women issues that have a high PR and are Do Follow. Having said this I would like to qualify that although it is quite difficult to find good Do Follow blogs to comment on, with some hard work and using a few smart applications can enable you to find some high PR blogs to comment on. For example using one such method I was able to gain more than a 100 links from a PR 6 blog in a small niche. Therefore pay heed for I am going to lay before you a detailed method by which you can gain valuable links to your web page while at the same time enhancing the value of the sites you link from.

But first and foremost there are a few basic rules of blog commenting that should be understood by all, otherwise you will be flagged for spamming. The blog community is like any other community and has evolved its own sets of rules of behaviour. So when you post a comment please keep these rules in mind. · Always post commentary relevant to the blog. This is not only appropriate blogging behaviour, it is also good Web optimization. It is obvious that Google ranks links from relevant websites more than links from random websites. For eg. A link from a golfing site to another golfing site is much more valuable than a link from a golfing site to a football site.

· Be polite. Do question but do not question intentions. Also avoid pornography, hate speeches, racial comments and any which comment which defame or demonise any person or community. · A comment like " well done" and " good job keep it up " do not count as genuine commentary and are most likely to be spammed. Therefore keep in mind that your comment must add or supplement the discussion or knowledge. These comments will always be approved by the moderator or webmaster. · Most blogging platforms allow HTML within the comment. So you can have a link with an anchor text of your choice. This is good Search engine optimisation tactics and should be employed. But do not add more than one link within the text of your comment. This is likely to be spammed. These are very simple rules or guidelines which all bloggers should follow otherwise the number of No Follow blogs will only increase further in future.

The process starts with finding blogs which you can comment upon. There are two important factors to be considered. One the blog must be relevant to your niche. Let's say you have a blog about engagement rings, and then you obviously want to comment on relevant blogs like jewellery or fashion blogs. So do this the first stop is Google. If you have a list of keywords from your research then you can just key in the relevant keyword in Google and search for blogs with this keyword. This will give you a list of blogs with your chosen keyword. But the job is only half done. While the list of blogs is quite extensive you will now need to sift out the No follow blogs. The only way to do it manually is by going through the source code of the blog. Visit the page you want to comment upon and press Ctrl + U. This will show you the source code of the page. Alternatively click the View button and click on Page Source button.
